Yet another SW London ride

I'll be out with the Kingston Wheeler's on Sunday and as I've got to get back for a Sunday lunch this means that I'll be doing one of the shorter rides. If anyone wants to come along and try riding in a larger group at a reasonably sedate pace (15-16mph average), either have a look on the KW website for details on the club run meet, or drop let me know here or via PM that you'd like to come along and we can arrange a place to meet. The shortest run will be 36 miles, with longer/faster rides if you want something with a bit more spice.

If anyone wants to join I'll be heading through the park at about 8:40, Roehampton Gate. I won't be stopping but I'll slow as I pass. Full KW kit, black and blue Giro helmet on a white, black and red Fuji with a small saddle bag.

Alternatively get to the Laithwaites car park for 9am and join me on the shorter of the rides.

Well, I had a good ride but didn't see any SCR regulars there. The newbie ride was pretty big so we split it at Esher and I ended up taking a faster group around, averaging 17.5mph which was certainly faster than normal. The only downside was a guy with all the kit but little in the way of cyclecraft, road awareness or anticipation techniques who ended up running into the back of a car coming through the Horton Roundabouts. No real harm done and hopefully he'll learn from the experience.
