Would appreciate some owner opinions on the triban 3 & 5, looking at a potnetial C2W purchase for some road work to compliment by MTB.
I'm mainly a ntb rider so wouldn't be looking to spend any more than 500, but am interested to know if the triban 5 spec justifies the price differential.
Thanks in advance.

I bought a Triban 3 back in May, been using it to commute (only ~5kms each way), but compared to my hybrid it goes like stink... and Fixies eat my dust on the Mean streets of Manchester!
I dont think I have ever spent £300 more wisely, although there are some parts which need to be swapped out due to them being rubbish i.e. saddle/break pads/tires, as well as some things you could upgrade. However, as an introduction to road bikes its perfect.
I think the Triban 5 has an Sora groupset... and a couple of other additions. In all honesty, I don't think its worth the extra money, as the frame & forks (as far as I am aware) are identical.
If you can think of any questions ask ahead, although I think highly of Decathlon bikes, so might be biased0
