Any good trails north of Basingstoke?

Anyone know of any good riding around the area between Basingstoke, Newbury and Reading? I've got a buddy who's just moved to Newbury and I live in Aldershot, so we are looking for somewhere to ride half-way between the two.

Are there any trails at all? Any riding groups who go out after work weekly or anyone willing to meet up for a ride to show us around?

Maybe even a set of dirt-jumps?

    Hi Rob

    There's always swinley forest just off the M3 in Bracknell pleanty to explore round there.

    I live south of Basingstoke near Winchester so normally out on the Southdowns and surrounding areas. If you did fancy a trip a southward I'd be happy to show you around.

    Also doing a few night rides and have spare lights if you're intersted.

    Have a look at the London calling thread on the rides section, or look for the Berks on Bikes website or the tunnel hill trolls website. As for places to ride, there's loads, Swinley (as mentioned above), Tunnel Hill, Minley, Porridge Pot, Caesars Camp, Surrey Hills etc etc
