Following on from the X7 limit screw post. Has anyone else had an X7 10sp rear mech wear out really quickly?
I bought my X7 10sp rear mech in January this year along with the rest of the 10sp drivetrain/shifters, all worked lovely at first. About 6 months after I had it the gear changing was getting sloppy, and I tracked it down to wear in the pivot/mounting bolt.
A friend who's a bit handy with a lathe machined it and put a bush in and it worked better than new.
Now it's wobbling about again and the gear changes are all over the place, it's wobbling on the pivot again. It seems like the alloy around this part is made of chocolate!
I had my previous XO 9sp mech which lasted 3 years with the same sort of riding and maintainence schedule.
I'm going to contact Sram and would like to hear of any other similar problems.

Sram has been fine for me in the past, I've got Sram Rival on my road bikes as well and have always liked the positive changes.
Just wondered if Sram have changed anything in their alloy?0
