Sram X7 limit screw

The H limit screw on my x7 derailleur has stripped the thread on the body, not through overtightening or fannying about it seems but through simply the battering it gets and the fact that the screw material is harder than the alloy it screws into.
Is this a common issue? I've dropped down to an X5 as replacement and wondering if it will happen again or a one off.
