Good call, I've been using a set of those since June, they're holding up really well and still spinning perfectly.
  • That's good to hear - since although I have seen some good feedback on the net, I don't know anyone who's used them before and I've never tinkered with such things in the past.

    Thanks for letting me know!

  • They'd last even longer if your chain was as clean as the rest of your bike ;)
  • They'd last even longer if your chain was as clean as the rest of your bike ;)
  • I have been using these on every bike i have owned for the last 2 and a half years guys lol
  • My chain actually is pretty clean - just that I use wax lubricant, so there is always a layer on there!!

I had just got back from a ride and cleaned my bike (especially rear mech) to fit the new bits - it's not always quite that clean!

Glad to hear further comments on the quality of the jockey wheels.... [although yours look like the KCNC ones instead ... aren't they??!! .... those are .... oh .... GRAMS .... heavier than the Mount Zoom ones !!]

    Mine are these .....

Cheers 'allthegear' for the wheels comment .... One of my fave bike parts is my American Classic MTB26 Wheels .... awesome.... light & strong

  • Might try these rotors soon !!

  • I have the KCNC rotors from xc racer and I'm finding them pretty good, there's no surface for mud to cling to ;)
  • Do they come in green?
  • These ones only come in red, although the KCNC ones come in Red, Black or Gold.

I'm not sure who might do green I'm afraid .....

  • Actually you can Google 'Jockey Wheels Green'

Looks as if KCNC do them - just check they are the right fit for your brand of rear mech .... and whether they fit 8 speed, 9 or 10 ......

Seems there is a choice of steel or ceramic bearing too.

Yep the Mt Zoom jockeys are still pretty new, but they're lighter and cheaper than KCNC.

I use the KCNC disc rotors though, and they seem excellent.
  • Does anyone know how good the Mt Zoom pulleys are?
As in do they last a good while?
Do they spin really nicely and freely?

How do they compair to say KCNC?

    Im torn between:
    Mt Zoom: http://mtzoom.com/jockey-wheels/speed-wheels/
    KCNC: http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct ... oductid=30
    or Extralite pulleys: http://fairwheelbikes.com/extralite-der ... p-984.html

I want them to be super light, but also durable...
  • Mount Zoom are clearly the lighter of the 3 and have ceramic bearings too

    They do spin smoothly.

Various people I have now spoken to say they are good and last well, so give them a go if I were you !

Or you can wait and ask me in some months time when I have used mine for longer!!

I fitted the Mt Zoom's in June, the anodising has worn off slightly, but they're showing no other signs of wear. Spin very nicely, not noisy either. I'd definitely recommend them of the 3.
  • Strange that the "Extralite"'ones are the heaviest of the 3 and actually twice the weight of
    The Mt Zoom ones !?!?!

There is more material on them to be fair, so they should last longer. I've had mixed experiences with Extralite products, used OctaRamp chainrings, one lasted really well, had another one and it snapped! Their UltraHubs use some plastic parts in the freehub body and what not, of questionable durability for sure!

I'd still stick with the Mt Zoom ones, they're a good price if nothing else! All their stuff seems really good, their bars are excellent.
