My Spech Allez Tiagra winter/turbo bike needs new wheels. I was thinking of Shimano R30 from Merlin. Would these be lighter and better than Fulcrum 7s? Dont know much about good and bad wheels outside of Campagnolo.
Pegoretti
Colnago
Cervelo
Campagnolo

Why not look up the tech specs and see which is lighter if that is what you are looking for but I suspect the difference will be only a few grammes and certainly much less than a half full/full water bottle? Failing that, pick the wheels with the nicest logos, or the loudest click if you like Campag

There is not much tangible difference to be had, IME, if comparing components in the same class so don't fret too much would be my advice. If you need new wheels then you need to decide whether you want to upgrade or replace. Wheels like RS10/20 or Fulcrum 7 will be much of a muchness to your OEMs, wheels like Fulcrum 3 or RS80 (or equiv handbuilts, etc.) will be an upgrade.
