Been using my Garmin for 18 months and its started recording some mental readings??

On my S3 I use a speed and cadence sensor and all is fine BUT on my RS I just use it off GPS with no sensors and the last 2 times I have been out its recording stupid maximum speeds of 55mph........and I can assure you I aint doing 55mph!!

Has anyone else got this problem and if so how you fixed!?

Cheers

Never seen it with any of my Garmins. The GPS speed reading should be very stable because there are built-in corrections to average out the errors of GPS positioning.

Is it getting a reading from somewhere and assuming it's the speed sensor? My HR reading occasionally get weird which I assume is some kind of interference. Might be worth disabling the speed sensor so that the Garmin doesn't look for it and take false reading from wherever it's getting them from.

    Can't think of anything else.

Possibly lost satellite signal and miscalculated the speed in the gap before it is regained?
