strange question
I've had a pair of altura gel shorts for a year with no issue however I went out for a 40 mile run and have developed a burn on my arse cheek
can't explain it astey weren't wet and there are no loose or rough seams or stitching any where near the area anybody else had anything similar??

Try cycling in them instead. That's what they're designed for.0

Shower gel? How do you dry them after a wash (the shorts)? Just because they feel dry it doesn't mean they actually are. Change position on the bike? More sitting down at work than normal today? Could be any number of things. Better hope you've got some Sudocrem (other brands of rash cream are available). The only disability in life is a poor attitude.0 -
Surely whichever way you look at it, its a friction issue. So either your saddle provoked rub between shorts and arse, the shorts between saddle and arse, or your arse has suddenly taken on sandpaper qualities. Wear a spare pair of shorts for a week and see what happens. You can change your saddle and shorts but you can't....'I started with nothing and still have most of it left.'0
