Too cheap to be any good?

I appreciate it isn't going to be a breathable, non sweaty option but this looks good for the money as an emergency measure. Does anybody have one?

I can have a shower at either end of my ride, so I think I'd rather get wet, but get there quickly than get there slowly and sweaty, but for a more leisurely cyclist it might be ok.

I prefer a non=sleeved version - gives you more ventilation, it's easier to put on. I found one on ebay that has transparent sides of the hood which makes it much easier to look around and doesn't block your periferial vision.
  • Not going to be easy to pedal with it's knee length.

Why not have a change of clothing at your destination for those (few) days that it rains?
  • Actally I have the Rain Jacket 3 - http://www.decathlon.co.uk/rain-jacket-3-blue-id_8154026.html
It folds away neatly and tiny in my backpack, it gives good enough protection in the heavy downpours I have been. Doesnt obstruck my knees. Face it, when caught in rain, heavy rain at that you are not going to be going very fast are you?

  • That Rain Jacket 3 looks like a bargain, I might have to go for one of those then!

I've bought one, not used it in anger yet, but for the price it looks great, fit is on the generous side, I managed to get into and XS
