    Morning fartsmellers,

Minion is out most of the day, Boss is out at another site and i have films to catch up on
2 days of sitting in the bunker with just a computer screen and data checking for company has taken its toll :? Was going to be riding tonight then wifey reminded me of the school evening she's got to attend so that means i'm on bath time/story reading dutys  Never know, might learn something?

    Anywhoo on with the day

    Morning crudstains

Back off down to London today to get some drinking in before freshers starts, think a fair few freshers have moved in already. Should be fun

Unfortunately before I go I have to clean the car, a job I hate, because it's very muddy from having lots of muddy bikes and riders in and on it (the bikes go in it and riders go on it).

Then after that I have to visit my grandmother. This will go either one of 2 ways, she'll act like a normal human being and it'll be fine.

Or she'll go on at me constantly about how ill she feels, act all pathetic, pretend to only be able to walk around at the slowest pace imaginable, and complain about how horrible life is, how all her stuff doesn't work, that the dog's dieing, shes too old to do anything, and act like a spoilt little attention seeking child. At which point I'll probably walk out as I'm sick of her playing up all the time and she's got to learn to behave.

    Exes and Double-exes,

Another day, another dollar in Clanksville, UK.

Still undecided on the winter boots for the mountain bike - better be making a decision quick though as I'm already staring down both barrels of Kaiser's Peaks yomp. As Clay Davies would say, 'Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!'

This mornings bacons forecast is for clean plates with zero chance of porkage.

However I do have Puscifer's 'Lighten Up' on media-player currently. Life could be worse. 8)
How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

  • Today is going to be meh.

Meeting at another office where I have to tell our client that the funding they provide doesn't even cover staff costs, so how the hell are we supposed to fund staff development?

Plus there's no internet access, or email, or anything because they run from another organisations servers that have some of the worst restrictions I've ever known. You can't even view our company home page....
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

    Who are you calling inbred?

Hmmm - today we're off to IKEA in Croydon to get some shelves & stuff in the grey and drizzle so I'm not exactly full of the joy of life. At least it's cheap.

Afterwards I'll clean the layer of Cannock mud off the bike and do a spot of fettling if I can.

you knows it, its going to be a good day out, or potentially the wettest mtb ride ever, it could go either way! think i might relax the ban on coats!

in a foul mood as missk decided to take forever getting ready, which in turn made us late for work and hit all the traffic!

Oh I need to do this before I go too, otherwise the bike will sit like that until I next come home which doesn't look like it'll be any time soon. Bike got filthy yesterday but I went to the pub instead of cleaning it. Amazed at how muddy and how many massive puddles sprung up overnight, it was realtively dry Monday... the bike came back covered in dust and in the space of a few hours my front wheel was disappearing into puddles...

The sun is shining and that makes me very happy. I doubt the trails will be dry, but I'm gonna go for a blast on my mountain bike this afternoon. I think I might hit up some local woods and see where I end up. But, before that I need to get my sorry out into Nottingham and pick up my repaired mobile phone and buy some bacon for dinner tonight. Oh and maybe some beer to wash it down.

Right, the kettle is boiling so I'm off to make a cuppa

I was there last Satuday and it must have rained overnight as some of the frikkin puddles were pretty deep and we got covered. But for some reason the Monkey was not too bad, it was the Dog that was the puddlefest.

Was fun - going again in a couple of weeks 8)
