Any one own the above. I have flat pedals can either be used on flats or is the 41 much prefered. Just I thought I might progress in the future to spd,s. Or is I better of sticking to the 41. I have been told to go one size up is this true, Thanks.
Rideing a Canyon XC Nerve 6.0,

Cheers Geordie.

  • Shimano shoes tend to be on the thin side. I have always gone one size up.
(currently wearing am40s for my flats)
I have some cheap Specialized for my SPDs.

  • The 41's are designed for flat pedals, so if thats what you use I'd go for them. I'm a size 10, so went for 45's (10 and a half) but they were still too small, even the 46's which replaced them aren't overbig, so I'd definitely go up a whole UK size.

CRC were out of 46's so I went with fatbirds.co.uk - great service and £60.

  • I'm a 42 size but went for 43 (having tried both on) for my AM40s
  • How grippy are the soles on the AM41's?

I'm currently looking for a set of shoes for flat pedals....these are a bit cheaper than five tens and i think that flap on the front looks a bit better for winter riding than the normal lace type set up on the five tens which will just soak the water up.....
  • Soles are good, I haven't got much experience of alternatives, but my MG1's remain pretty glued to them.
