Which Winter Tyres?

I'm now looking for some winter tyres for my Defy 2 after getting caught out by the rain last week.
Am I right in thinking that the Conti Gatorskin would be a good choice?
Are there any others I should be looking at?

I am a big bloke at 98kg and I found the Hardshell Gatorskins to be fantastic winter tyres. Never had a puncture, still very, very fast rolling and getting excellent mileage from them.
