Hello, I'm new to the forum ( and the sport). i'm getting my new bike hopefully this thursday and i'm starting to get really excited
but.. i need some lights.. i'm not really planning on going trail riding a nightime, more commuting not much more.. and i was just wondering, are these like sub £20 lights that you find on sites like evanscycles ( cateye) and good? because since getting into the sport i have found out that you need to spend the money to get the good stuff, but i was really hoping to save some money on my lights as they're basically only needed for riding around the roads when it starts to get dark early,
Many thanks
Sam

But for £50 you can get lights bright enough for trail riding... see What Lights
Try it (with some friends)... night riding can be fun!Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

Take your pick of these http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/c/q/lights
The Smart lights are good, and fairly cheap. I'm sure Supers link will be fine too.0 -

Trail riding at night is superb fun. Get a good light for your bars (Macigshine MJ-836 maybe) and a decent head torch. Never go with just one light, if the battery dies you're stuffed.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

ah, i may get it into one day, but location and school will probably prevent me from doing it
so nights are for the rides around local villages i guess
i only get to go trail riding once a week if i'm lucky, buy i enjoy it all the same :P
