I've just started a job so local it would be criminal to drive to work anymore so some advice would be appreciated;
The commute is less than 5 miles and will be well lit roads mostly.
I'm looking for the cheapest option of front and back, and the ony pre-requisite is that they be fairly water resistant as it rains quite ften in South Wales
I've looked around the net but there's a whole load of lights and it's starting to confuse me.
Any advice greatly appreciated!

+1 on the ld610... its excellent value for that money and I use one on the seatpost in conjunction with the smaller LD150R (red lens) on my rucsac or pannier...
For the front the LD150 (white leds) is good just for commuting to be seen and not see by. To see by I have a Cateye EL600 rechargeable
You can get EL600 Front and LD610 rear as a set http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cateye-hl-el600 ... light-set/ which is better value for money than buying individually...Invacare Spectra Plus electric wheelchair, max speed 4mph0 -
I'd recommend 2 lights front and back. 1 on constant and 1 flashing. The flashing attracts attention but makes it hard to judge distance, the constant ones are easier to judge distance by.0

I'll sort a cheap second light option.0 -
