700c wheels in a Fury frame?

Will they fit? Anyone done it? Is there a trick to measuring if a frame will take them?
I have the frame, drivetrain and finishing kit knocking about and am thinking of hybridising it obviously. Thought Id slap on a rigid fork.
Any recommendations on 700c wheels? By the time Ive bought a decent rigid fork, wheels and tyres would I be better off just buying a £300 Spec Sirrus or something?

700c wheels should fit just fine with roadie tyres.
If your interested I'm selling / breaking my 700c MTB and may be interested in selling you parts if I can't sell the bike.
I'd like sell the whole bike (a Specialized 2005 Stumpjumper with XT groupset) for £500 ovno.
Mavic Speedcity wheels and pace RC31 rigid forks.
Everything in excellent condition, if you're interested PM me.
I'll post pictures if you're interested.
