Hi
Now my kids are both riding without stabilisers, my Wife and I plan to buy ourselves new mountain bikes so we can go off light cross country / trail riding as a family.
My budget is up to £350 and have picked out the GT Avalanche 3.0 Disk (2010) and the Specialized Hardrock Disc:

Which is the better all round package here and is there a similalry prices MB on the market that you'd recommend?
Thanks

Not much between them...can you scrape another £50 ? the Voodoo Bantu is worth a look and has a better airr fork and hydraulic brakes....also the Carrera Kraken is also worth a look and has 20% off so around your budget.0

If your interested in the GT Avalanche I'd say its a good bet. I've had the 1.0 model from 2008. Treated me so well I'm getting the 2011 model tomorrow.
On that note as well I'm getting it for only £420 as Wiggle have it reduced a fair bit at the moment. Should be £700.0 -
Thanks for advice, I have the GT Avalanche on order from Wiggle0

Sweet mate, let us all know what it's like when it arrives. Hope your happy with it.
I was going to get one myself as I said but due to a balls up at Evans I ended up with a different bike. It's a Pinnacle Iroko One but I'm still very happy with it. Just can't wait to get out riding more often again.0
