I was looking at CycleOps, but there are a few different options... which model works best?

Don't think many people use trainers for MTB. Just ride.

Cheers for reply cooldad... problem I have, is that I have an issue with my knee at the moment and want to maintain some sort of level of fitness (plus it's coming in to winter)... must be someone out there using a trainer

Might be worth asking in the roadie forum.
Or getting an exercise bike - must be millions unused in sheds.
