Hey thanks for this:
This is my side of the story - -
I had a set of marzocchi ATA55 2008 forks for sale at £125, as many of you might or might not know, these forks are selling for around £200-250. Now, as I am no professional mechanic I explained in the advert that they needed a service and thats all I knew. The forks went up and down but were a bit hard. The fact that I sold them for a discounted price surely must had made him aware that these forks needed some work on them. I'm an honest seller and if anyone else has bought am item from me they know i'm reasonable and honest. Normally buyers ask and research the relevant details about the item before hand. I'm not saying its completely his fault for not researching and now hes in this situation, I'm just putting my point across as I cant see why I'd refund any money at all for this fork. The 2008 ATAs are known for the poor quality and there are problems with them.
Now I might be a bit more forgiving if the said individual that bought the ATA forks didnt threaten me - "I have your address" and "I'll be down there to sort this out personally" as quoted from the text messages. I am not a violent person and got very annoyed of such a response.
Now as for my desicion, I will not refund any money quite simply because I am not to blame. The forks went for a reduced amount for a reason, a service was needed.
Thats final0 -
As for the maxle that was an honest mistake and I did send the maxle off as soon as I got home and found it. It also did reach the buyer when he needed it to.
I'm sorry that misunderstandings happen but I'm not to blame for a sale that, because of maybe ignorance or pure laziness, was a bit vague.
I could have never have known about the internals and so as I covering sentence I did put that they need a bit of work and a service.
Thanks,
