been running tubeless now for 6 months and after cleaning the bike on several occasions i have noticed residue (sealant) on the outside of the tyre where it has sealed

my question is how often do i top the sealant up and by what amount

i have tried to listen for excess fluid by shaking the wheels after the bike has been stood for a while but cannot hear any sloshing

if they are sealed nicely dont bother

wait until the tyres are goosed
  • I would top em up i didn't and luckily on arriving home heard a hissing and there was a big thorn stuckin the front tyre removed the wheel shook it it wouldn't seal.Removed the valve and squirted some in using the stans syringe and pumped it back up.

just look inside then tyre, if the original fluid has dried up then add some more. only takes a few mins.

  • thanks guys, i think ill top up on the safe side, have a couple of enduros coming up and wouldnt want to be caught with me trousers down

its great to see the stuff working though, i have noticed loads of small cuts and holes where the sealant has done the business instead of changing tubes

    cheers
