Standing by the start ramp, next to the podium girls. Hehe.
Had a 3 sec chat with Lars. Pat Mccaid just walked passed. Didn't have the stones to boo.

Did he ask if you wrestled aardvarks?0 -
I scowled at Cavendish up close, spoke to a couple of Leopard boys and was a foot away from the mighty Thor
I did laugh how Sky still have a lot more space between the public and them during TT warm up, but you could basically get 2 feet away from Cavendish.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

That wasn't down to Sky it because no-one was allowed on the road whilst the TT was running due to team cars and riders using it to get to the start. As Sky were facing into the road and HTC to the pavement you could of course get closer to HTC whilst warm up was going on.
Sky were very accommodating and the inside of their bus has to be seen to be believed.0 -
Watched the TT just outside Embankment station with my better half. I always enjoy listening to the "experts" stood alongside. Some don't have a clue!Ben

The road they were on, or one of the side roads? I'm confused because Leopard and Rabo were the same direction as Sky, but Sky had the big box around them.
Geraint seemed like a friendly fellow though.
Did anyone else see the Vaconsoliel car reverse into the motorbike? Comedy gold.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Gazzaputt - Did you hear anything about where Cummings will be next year?

Had just arrived at Embankment at that point and heard the large bang and accompanying 'oohs'.
TBH, I was just presently surprised that you could stroll up Whitehall Place and watch everyone warming up - I'd assumed the Police might have shut it down.
Saw Fat Pat later too - leaning into Rapha Condor's car, discussing how something was a 'load of feckin bollocks' with John Herety.... CAS ? Tour of Bejing?0 -

Geraint is a nice fella i reackon, stood around for photo's and autographs for a decent while after yesterdays stage, chatting to everyone etc. Didn't see anybody else from any of the teams even wave through the window to be honest...0 -

Chatted a bit with Steve Cummings before the start of the crit when he stopped right by us. Nice guy, good chat.
(my friend) "So why don't you shave your arms?"
(Steve, with a smile) "Well, that'd be a bit gay, wouldn't it?"Bike lover and part-time cyclist.0 -

Reminds me of the 2007 Prologue; loud city boy spouting Wiggins for the win.
My 7 year old turned around and said "it would be nice if he did, but the course suits Cancellara. We're shouting for David he stands the best chance of all the British riders". City boy looked shocked then started quizzing eldest son about riders.... "David ..who?" Son then astounded everyone with his knowledge of the peleton (and me).
City boy knew he was beat and talked a lot quieter after that.0 -

My O/H (shamelessly autograph hunting!) got them from G, Swifty, Thor, Jack Bauer, JTL, Bernie Eisel, Renshaw, Dowsett (who even gave my 2 kids his rider no's which they were dead chuffed with!), Steve Cummings, Cav, Dean Downing. So if you hang around for a while they will all come out of the woodwork.. G did MORE than his share by a long shot. Oh also Ned and Yanto lol!
Alex Dowsett and Dean Dowing were the 2 that stood out as going out of their way to make the kids welcome.

Had a great day out with the girlfriend at ToB yesterday.
Watched most of the TT by Embankment. Wandered about a bit for the Crit, but saw the final 3 laps on the home straight.
The old techno and the HUP-HUP-HUP of the emcee did do my head in at times, I have to admit...
Got some great photos but reading the above should've done a bit more stalking around the buses inbetween events to catch warm-ups and bag pics!0 -

Oh and Lauren the (blond) podium girl is very nice, she seems to do a lot of the cycling events and is the g/f of Andy Tennant (Rapha CS rider).Cannondale Supersix 105 2013- summer bike - love it!
