+1 to this. KOPS is endlessly given as a means of setting saddle position. It is never justified, Bontrager's article makes absolute sense. As far as I know KOPS gives a maximum forward position not an ideal position (from reading Hinault & Genzlings book from the 80s).It would make a s much sense to bolt a butt plug on your saddle and attach yourself to it to keep yourself in some notional ideal position from which you never deviate. I've tried setting saddle position using KOPS and ended up so far forward it would have been impossible to breath if I'd tried riding. The butt plug thing might be worth trying for a laugh though.0 -
