Can somebody please tell me how to set up a Rockshox Revelation RLT fork? The so-called User Manual contains nothing whatsoever about set up and the only other manual on the SRAM site tells you how to take it apart.
It would be really helpful to know:
- the default setting for compression and rebound damping (how many clicks out?).
- how to set up sag.
- some guidance on the relationship between + Air and - Air pressures.
- some guidance on starting pressures for a 100kg rider.
If there's a manual out there that I have overlooked, a link would be appreciated.

For compression and rebound set them both to halfway and have a play to see what works best for you.
For sag you will be looking for about 25% of the travel using the O'ring.
If you have more - air pressure than + air pressure your will end up with the fork losing travel. I get good results with 110psi in each chamber I am between 85-90Kgs, I would recommend you try between 120-130psi as a start point with pressures to find the right sag, then play with your rebound and compression.
Hope this helps.0 -
There are no default settings.
We have a guide in the FAQ on Dual Air. With this fork, inflate the positive and negative to 100psi. Measure your sag. if you want more sag, deflate each chamber 5psi at a time. Less sag, inflate.
Once set, if you can adjust the -ve air pressures to taste - upto 10 psi more gives a more supple start to the travel, 10psi less a firmer start. Adding more can suck the fork down a bit though.
Set the rebound in the middle and see how it feels. Your aim is to find a setting that allows the fork to extend in time for the next bump, but not too fast as to lose control, or too slow to pack down.
Compression damping - use to tune out fork dive and bob. Can be very subtle. When fully turned clockwise the fork locks out (but retains a small amount of travel for traction). Use the floodgate adjuster to tune the blow off force when locked. Full clockwise the fork remains locked except for the very largest hits. Fully anti clockwise it may not feel is locked at all!0 -

How to set up RockShox DUAL AIR forks
Sorry and thank you very much! How odd that SRAM doesn't provide this though, eh?0 -
SRAMs manuals and website are getting more useless by the year, they need to sort it out!0

Well bloody hell, I posted a unsuccessful request for a set up guide for my Revs a couple of weeks ago and it was in the FAQ all along..... wish somebody had told me...0

I think I will update it, and include damper info and differences in models.0

Cheers supersonic - very helpful! And yes the SRAM online stuff sucks!"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

I found this guide on the sram website about a year ago when I got my Revs.

I found it quite useful.0
