Is this normal?

After every ride of any distance, I get this on my rear shock (Ario).

It is only on this side, not the bottom, top or other side.

It rubs off fine, it is quite dry.

Just wondered if it was normal or not, as the shock is still within warranty/

Thanks :D

I'm no expert, but having just taken my RockShox Monarch shock apart yesterday for the first time to service it, I found the blue sealing ring was twisted on one side. This would have been the cause of why it was loosing air and it's been doing this since it was about 3 months old. I suggest the same is wrong with yours as it would cause marks like that. Does it loose air pressure too?

Either return it (and loose your bike for two weeks while the send the shock away for repair) or buy a service kit and do it yourself. It's very easy. I found the instructions made it sound more daunting that it was. The RockShox service kits are very expensive though.
