A very sad individual.
Obviously his behaviour was very disrespectful and in incredibly poor taste, but when I first heard the story, I was surprised to hear he was given jail time for it. I realise, I may be alone in thinking that!
It's only that, in most cases, 'electronic' crimes have a 'real-life' counterpart, e.g. hacking -> breaking and entering. What's the 'real-life' equivalent of this crime?0 -
How about this:-
Section 4A (of the Public Order Act 1986) makes it an offence to use threatening, abusive or insulting language with the intention of causing someone else harassment, alarm or distress. The offence is only committed if it has that effect.
