Hayman moved across from the left-hand gutter - probably to pick up Thomas for the sprint - drifting right across the front of Ghyllabert and forcing him(Ghyllabert) to the right which closed the door on Thomas.

On the other hand Ghyllabert had just switched Hayman into the gutter a couple of seconds earlier with a huge swerve to his left, which you could say started the whole chain of events.
  • Watched it again on youtube - still think it's mainly Thomas' own fault - there is a gap to go for but it starts to close before he's into it but he doesn't back off enough and gets squeezed against Bibby - he must hook Bibby somehow as Thomas starts leaning towards Ghilly who moves away and Thomas goes down taking Bibby with him. One person that isn't to blame is Bibby.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.
  • Can't see how G is in any way to blame for that, oldwelshman is right, there's a huge gap. Both Bibby and the guy in green shut it as he's coming into it.

    No gap?

The gap that Thomas tried to get through was way smaller than that at the time he tried to squeeze through and he had time to back off (look at 1.09) , for me it was poor decision making by Thomas to think he could get through an ever decreasing gap which was a pity especially for Bibby.
Gasping - but somehow still alive !

Dont agree with you that often but your correct - was Nice too see thomas asking about bibby NOT !!!! on his twitter.
  • Does this mean that Bibbys hope of a ride with sky is now over ?.

I'd put a lot of the blame on Ghyllebert - massive swerve one way then a big swerve the other - so much for holding your line in a sprint. Don't think Bibby was at fault, and G had a good gap to go through until the door was slammed shut.
I thnk G got his bars caught up with Bibbys and that brought them both down.
  • Wonder how many here have sprinted :D G has to make a spli second decision and the gap was there. I dont blame Bibby he hardly moved but Ghyllybert was all over he shop and mostly o blame, he swiched twice.
They locked bars thats why G ended uo with his bike sideways.
