I just heard about this talk tonight from Dervla Murphy who cycled from Dublin to India in 1963 on a 36lb singlespeed bike. On her own. Across Eastern Europe in the snow, got attacked by wolves, through the Kyber Pass, etc. She must be quite a woman (although she's 80 now) with some stories to tell.
