fitting slightly different tyre sizes

Would we be ok to replace the 26x2.35 cheap and nasty tyres on a Carrera Vulcan 2008 with some new 26x2.25 sized tyres we have?

would that smal size differncew present any fitting issues?

Youre going down in size/width, so no.

26" is the number.

Mud clearance and rubbing on forks and stays might be an issue going up in size/width.

As above, it'll be fine, as long as it's a 26" tyre.

I've even got some 26x1.5" slicks on my old MTB, with the standard 'wide' inner tubes in, probably not advised, but it's fine.

You might even find the new tyres even easier to find than the 2.3's
