disc brakes seized

Hello
I have hope minis both of which have seized completely to the point that I cant even turn the wheels. Took it to my local shop who claims to be a MTB guru- he said they just needed bleeding which i doubted but then gurus know best. This worked for 5 mins before they seized up again.
I have downloaded an overhaul guide but before I take the things apart I would appreciate any advice or guidance- is it likely that they just need a good cleaning inside, new seals and the fluid replaced.
Any help would be greatly appreciated- i cant afford to buy new brakes!
Thanks

Easy to do get all new parts first seals and pistons have you got a air line to blow the pistons out once you got the pistons out check the inside bores of the cailiper are good put some brake fluid on the seals and piston and push back in once you done that you are read to bleed you brakes0

Try putting a tiny bit of brake fluid onto the seals and pumping the pistons in and out a bit manually. Might loosen up. Take the pads out first.I don't do smileys.
