are 2011 bikes 9/16 pedals

Nowadays everything being in mm would a 2011 carrera virtuoso be in 9/16

    9/16" is pretty well the universal pedal thread - there is no metric alternative, although Shimano did try something weird with the AX back in the early 80s.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Yeah, Shimano tried an over-sized axle in the 80s which it called Dyna Drive. It placed the foot below the axle axis, supposedly to lower the rider seat height and center of gravity to allow for better aerodynamics.

    My Looks all say 9/16 on the axle...
