Bianchi or cube?

hi all
After looking in sales for a bike within my 1k budget
I have decided best options are probably either
Bianchi via Nirone or cube attempt. Both 2011 models
With 105 groupset and both 900quid in sale. I have ridden both and can't make a decision so would appreciate any thoughts or comments, particularly if you have either bike!
Many thanks in advance for your help

No experience of the Cube, i'm sure it's a fine bike, but as an owner of a Via Nirone i can compare/comment on the following, and its all nitty gritty really.
Buy the one you like looking at most, thats the way i work, there's not going to be that much between them at the same price point..
Bianchi has the Mega Exo Omega crankset. The BBs not particually good, moderate quality bearings that go after two summer seasons (on mine anyway). Not the end of the world, just worth mentioning.
Ponza saddle i find comfortable, it suits me, so much so i fitted one to my winter bike.
My WS32 wheelset, i assume the forerunner of the Maddux rims , have been bombproof, so if the Maddux wheels/rims are similar in strength, you'll have no problems.
I like Bianchi's so i am a little biased.
The Cube, i think has a full carbon fork. The Bianchi is a alu/carbon. My Bianchi has full carbon fork and it's remarkably light. This may go sme way to explain why the Cube is a lighter bike.
Nowt wrong with the Fulcrum 7's, i think they're a well regarded entry level wheelset.
Personally i think the Bianchi's better looking, but that's me.
There's nothing on either that'd stop me buying either...buy the one you like the look of. You want to look at it in a year or two's time and still enjoy looking at it...like wot i do with my Bianchi0 -
I have the cube attempt and have no complaints. Slick gears, nice comfortable position( saddle is v comfy I find), climbs better than I can and feels poised on the descents. The only point I will concede is some find it a bit boring paint wise, however my wife has found me sitting in the spare room just looking at mine...... what ya mean that ain't normal?
This is my first road bike and I cannot recommend it enough personally.0 -
Picked up my cube attempt triple 4 weeks ago and already done 350 miles on it. Did my 1st 60miler yesterday and it was a dream. Had no problems so far. Its light enough and climbs beautifully. I've also had some positive comments from other riders when out on it. I'm going to get some Durano tyres at the end of the month, the Ultremos on it are fine but had my 1st puncture last week and they are already looking a bit worn.
Funnily I originally had my eye on a Bianchi Via Nirone but the guy at the LBS talked me out of it as he said it was a bit heavy (I believe the wheels are on the heavy side) and its not as responsive. It does look lush though!
To sum it up I love my Attempt very very much!0 -
Sounds like I can't go wrong either way then?!
Bianchi probably looks better but few people have said it's a bit heavier?
Difficult decision i wish I could get both'0 -
Hi, im in a very similar position, about £1k budget.
Have you seen the Wilier Motirolo Veloce is available for £1099? Its looks ace for the money and is full carbon. Anybody got experience with this bike?
Thanks0 -
Where is it available for that price? Hadn't considered it really as over budget! Wilier ate always great looking bikes though so would def consider. Can't find it for that price though.0

Is it worth paying 200 more for a trek madone 3.1? Saw one for 1100 in my LBS and very tempted!0
