fox 5.0 dh air

Hi All, i have a fox 5.0 dh air fitted to my mtb but can't adjust the rebound knob. It moves from side to side a couple of mm but not enough to the next click. I have sprayed loads of wd 40 around the knob but it has not made any difference. On the top of the shock are 2 allen screw head screws, what do these do? Does one of them lock the rebound knob. I have tried to put photos on here but can only get these lines on here. p9140035.th.jpg

Any help on the shock or about putting photos on the site would be appreciated.

    Don't mess with the screws.
    Looks like something has broken inside in the upper pic, and that you have tried moving it with an allen key or something in the grooves. What is that beige stuff.

    what are the 2 screws for?
    the beige stuff is sunlight coming through th opening
