Bottle Storage

I sometimes use an old water bottle in the second cage for storing stuff, but I could really do with one that doesn't have a neck or narrow opening as it's a bit fiddly getting some things out.

Has anyone found a suitable candidate? Thanks.

There are specific tool bottles out there:

I haven't used them - but always fancied a third set of bosses for this purpose.

  • If you're not too worried about appearances use two squash bottles with the necks cut off then pushed together.Cut a short slit down the side of one so it fits inside the other and have a good overlap to keep water out. The advantage of this system is you can fit a mini pump in it and you get better access to the contents- I can't find a purpose made tool can long enough for my pump.
If you want to be particularly stylish you can even take the Tesco Value labels off the bottles

As you know, being a hygiene freak apparently, you should be replacing your water bottles on a regular basis anyway, take 2 old bottles of the same 'make'. 1 is best a 500ml version.
Cur 1 bottle below where the circumference starts to narrow and other bottle where the circumference starts to get wider again. A certain well known cycle nutrition company does the trick. They fit snug together. You also have the advantage of scratched and faded 'brand name' visible to all and sundry.

Wow .. now why didn't I think of that? Up until now I've made do with some string holding my pump in place Doh!
