Hey Guys,
I'm very new to road cycling, however, Ive been riding MTB for years and can competently ride 16 miles on my "Specialized Hard-Rock Pro"
Within the next couple of weeks, I'm looking to buy a CHEAP road bike, if I enjoy the sport I will then decide if a better bike is necessary.
I'm currently looking at the following bikes:
1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-VIKING-G ... 97582cd9ac
2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-VIKING-S ... 975880a705
3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RALEIGH-SPRIN ... 9757e01054
Are any of these bikes worth getting?>
Thanks in advance.

Steer clear of the Vikings because they have very cheap gearing systems, will be very heavy and generally built down to a price point.
On the other hand the Raleigh has similar gears to most entry level road bikes namely Shimano 2300. This STi system is used by Specialized, Giant, Trek, etc on bikes costing double the price of the Raleigh.
You will of course get cheaper other components (wheels, tyres, saddle, etc.) to keep the price as low as this but if you are intent on buying a new bike on a very low budget this is what you must expect.
Given that you are an experienced cyclist and presumably know how to maintain your own bike then why not look for a 2nd hand bargain? You may still only get the same level of components but you might squeeze a carbon fork into the mix or get something with slightly better wheels or tyres.0
