Damn I'd take this if I had the money right now. If it was next month0

Can anyone tell me if theres much flex in the wheels? I'm thinking of buying one of these as its a pretty unbeatable price for the spec, but not had chance to try one. I had a Rockhopper Disc a couple of years back but was really put off that the wheels seemed to flex a lot between rim & hub. I didnt know whether this was down to the spec or the build.0

the 09 has sold out....its still on the website but when you go through to checkout there is none in stock in uk....(for the 20" mens)
they now have the 2011 fury in stock and on the website priced at £599 less the 20%.....................ordered one yesterday.....just waiting for my letter of credit from cycle to work!!!!0 -
I'm tempted to reserve one, but its over 2hrs away to pick it up. Is it worth the journey at £431? About 240 mile round trip.0

If you really want the bike then it's worth it... cheapest I've ever seen a 09 Fury.2011 Carrera Fury

Looks like I've missed out on the '09, damn!
I have read that the forks are a downgrade on the '11 model, but I presume that the brakes are an upgrade?
This still seems like the best deal that I could find for a sub £500 hardtail. What does anybody else think?
Worth just going for the '11 model? I am seriously tempted to get one of these tomorrow to replace my 8 year old Carrera Kraken.0 -
I've been trying to pin one of these down this weekend. First of all the Halfords website stated there was an 09 Fury 20" at my local store so the following day i headed in there to be told there were none left, nor were there any left at any stores within an hour and a half drive. This morning i thought i'd try another branch as i was walking the dogs down that way anyway and wanted to see if the Banshee was up to much (it wasn't). Turns out they had a 20" '09 Fury on display! I snapped it up and tried to get a little extra discount on account of it being a display model and after fannying around for ages managed a free lock worth a tenner. Go and check out some stores, you might get lucky.0

FWIW I couldnt get the 09 model and was told by the guy in my lcoal store that I had no chance.... I got the 2011 and love it..... I only have my previous hard rock sport disc to compare it to but it is far better than that..... I find the brakes great......2 finger operation, very light and im 16 stone also......im personally one very happy bunny0
