Turbo Trainer and use with wide tyres

I am thinking of getting a turbo trainer to get in some extra hours trainer on nights when I don't go out properly.
Are most of the common trainers suitable for use with wide rear tyres,I know they can be adjusted to 26" but I run a 2.35 Maxxis Larsen on the rear and don't want to have to purchase a 2nd wheel etc... and keep swapping them over. I want to be able to whip the bike on and off.
Thanks

Yeah almost all of those that are compatible with 26" wheels will take mtb tyres. An mtb tyre will work, however it will be very loud and the tyre will wear out far quicker than use on the trail.0

I have just got a turbo trainer and tried my larsen on the rear, it worked but was horrible! It juddered all the time and you felt each and every nodule on the tyre. It was also stupidly loud!
I bought a schwalbe 2.00 26inch slick and it is MILES better, but then again I did have a spare rear wheel.0 -

My wife uses her MTB on my turbo. I had to buy her a slick tyre and a dead cheap knackered old wheel for the turbo. Now it works well.0
