Cannondale SuperSix 105

Hi, I really need to learn to stay out of bike shops. Saw a Supersix 105 with around 25% off in one of my LBS before I knew it I was sat on it picturing myself cruising along in the sunshine.
Thing is I only brought my first road bike a couple of months ago, another Cannondale, Synapse Sora triple. Entry level but a good Al frame, so I'm told. I've done a lot of miles on this bike and could merit moving to something a little tastier and onto a compact as apose to the triple. Before I saw the Super Six I was actually looking at a wheel and saddle upgrade for the synapse.
Somebody talk some sense into me please.............or if not, which colour scheme should I go for on the Super, they have both the Liquigas or black and white.

You (and I) want the 105 Compact in Liquigas colours, best buy. How much did you see it for?http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

The SuperSix is without doubt one of the best things I've ever bought: the pleasure it's given me has been immense. No regrets at all. What's the geometry like compared to the CAAD9, I used to have a size 56 CAAD9 but always felt a tiny bit stretched out until I put an in-line seatpost and shorter stem on it.0 -

One day I'll try to line them up against each other and photograph them - or do them separately and superimpose the two photos - to see how close they are. Both great rides, whatever.0 -

Seen it at £1395 around £400 off RRP. I just simply love this bike and baring in mind the 2012 model is going to retail at £2000 without a great deal of difference it kind of makes sense. 105 is about the level for me, they have the Ultegra version at £1800 (700 off) also but would be wasted on me.
I'm more worried about what my wife might say, if I talk nicely to the guys in the shop they might do me a special wife's receipt, I am definitely not going to heaven :twisted:Giant Defy Advanced

It's lots more than that you'll save .... if you wait for the 2012 model and get the Dura Ace version it's gonna be £3,500 or more, so saving £2000+
Ah, but then I suppose the danger is that she'll want to spend that £2000 you've just saved. Hmm.0 -
One you will be able to ride everyday without complaint, the other, well.........
