Thinking about doing the Epping in October, anybody got any experience or views on these rides? are they a good way to improve your biking? are they value for money?

I have done a couple - well organised and supported and good value imho. I would imagine quality of routes can vary and they tend to be fairly basic cross-country but fine for a nice hack without having to worry about sorting out your own route

    Riding:
    Canyon Nerve AL9.9 2014
    Honda CBR600f 2013
    Condor Fratello 2010
    Cervelo RS 2009
    Specialized Rockhopper Pro 2008

I did the Dorking surrey hills one earlier in the year the 30 mile distance and it nearly killed me, they had it rated as a 3 but it was defiantly a 4 on the scale, that and my lack of preparation for it as I had kidded myself that as I had done a 50 mile Chilterns enduro a few weeks before it would be a doddle, how wrong was I.

Apart from that they are very well organised and well marked, maps are excellent.
