Can you help identify a XTR equivelent...
I think its a bottom pull direct mount.

If your going over to Shimano you are going to need a Shimano shifter aswell. Cannot mix Sram with Shimano (shifters and mechs)
XTR is XTRKona Tanuki Deluxe0 -
You can on the front. Sram shifter will work fine.I don't do smileys.

You can mix Shimano and SRAM front mechs & shifters. Not sure what model you'll need though, the common direct mount is mounted above the mech. I had an FSR with this type of mount though, so shimano mechs are out there.....A Flock of Birds

I already have Shimano XTR shifters.
So I want to replace this X9 with XTR...
But not 100% which XTR front mech it is I need.
I *THINK* its this one:

You can see in this doc the plate can be taken off:

The plate can be taken off to fit on a direct mount.
Can anyone confirm?0 -

Yes, its the e-type with no bb plate. I think the 985 is only top pull though (maybe - more research needed).A Flock of Birds
