Post Vuelta / Canada Rider Rankings
I'm not sure how much people bother with the World Tour Rankings the UCI produce (at www.uciworldtour.com), but I always like to give them a read after major races.
In the latest rankings we have:
Gilbert #1 - 698 points (well deserved)
Bradley Wiggins #7 - 289 points (would anyone have predicted him being in the top 10 at this point in the season?)
EBH #10 - 260 points (surely he will only get better too)
Dan Martin #18 - 206 points (Another who will only improve too. Compare him to Nico Roche who is #132 with 14 points)
Froome #25 - 157 points (and ranked one place above Cav!)
Arroyo #123 - 18 points (2nd in the Giro last year...Froome take note!)
Vandevelde #137 - 11 points (hasn't he actually been 100% healthy this year?)
Lovkvist #170 - 4 points (definitely a season to forget)
