Drivetrain compatibility

Thinking of running the following;
SRAM XX 10 spd Chainset 42-28 Q156
Shimano Ultegra 10 Spd Cassette 11-28
SRAM 1090 10 Spd Chain
I know the old Shimano/SRAM thing has been done to the death but my query is regarding the compatibility of the new SRAM XX 10 Spd and a Shimano Ultegra Road.
Many thanks.
And yes, I know most people would go with a 11-32+ cassette but for me and the type of riding, 11-28 will be fine.[/b]
