Really cheap hacks wanted (Like Decathlon's old offerings)

I am looking for a couple of cheap ~(sub-£100) hacks for my missus and I to cycle to our running club. As there is nowhere secure to store bikes, I don't want to use any of my current stable. They would also be used to go to the shops, so undesirable is desirable!
Decathlon used to do single-speed road-MTBs in bright orange for £80, which would have been perfect, but the cheapest is now £100 for an MTB, which have gears and massive tyres, neither of which I need/want.
Any ideas?
