How easy does a bike frame bend?

Me and my bike got caught up in the train ticket gates today the doors were jammed against the chain stays for about 45 seconds before someone stopped it
it's probably a mental thing making me think the chain stays are bent, they don't look bent

so do all manufactures put their frames through those stress tests?
this is my bike FYI http://www.wiggle.co.uk/focus-culebro-tria-20100 -
I would imagine that the design for just about every frame is stress tested until it breaks. It will take a lot of pressure to bend the chainstay of a bike. An easy way to test is get something straight and place it on either side, top and bottom of each chain stay, see if theres any difference between each one.
As its alloy, simply reflecting a light on the bar will show up any dents as well.0 -

i see, no dents are viable. i think its all in my mind. when something small goes wrong its like you never treat the bike the same way, same when you get older, you give less of a fuk0 -
If you can't see anything it's most probably ok. If the wheel is running true bewteenb the brake pads that's more evidence that no damage has been done.0

I expect those barriers are designed not to apply too much pressure - small children and all that...0
