Hi, can anyone tell me if it's possible to swap out the air spring for a coil in a dual air pike.
Cheers

    Why do you want coil?

  • Well, i love the air as you can adjust it to what you riding in a flash but, the negative air keeps losing. I have had it serviced by tf tuned and cant fault them at all. I do my lower leg services myself but i just don't find the negative chamber holds long enough between services , the positive has always been fine. If i can whack a coil in that may be the cheaper option and the more consistent

Check with TFTuned, they'll know if anyone does
  • Yes i have emailed them, just wondered if anyone on here knows. I have read you can but just wanted to be sure.

You can - but can I ask how you can tell the -ve air is losing pressure? Everytime you attach a pump, it loses most its air, generally.
  • Yes you are right with what you say. Everytime you re-attach your pump your negative chamber will lose some air into the hose to give you a pressure reading. After experimenting (around 10 times) with a freshly pumped fork, i am consistantly losing 40 psi every time i re-attach the pump e.g pump to 130psi take off pump re-attach now 90psi.
After a ride or even during (when i notice the fork getting a little harsher) i can attach the pump and i can be looking at anything like 50psi or less.

Will i need a new u-turn knob along with the coil?

    you'll also need

    and you could need

11.4310.465.000 Fork Shaft Bolt Kit to change from the nut on the neg air schrader valve to the allen bolt that fits the spring rod to the lowers but according to the parts book it comes with the U-Turn spring assembly
