Hi ive been riding a specialised hard rock for about 8yrs and have seriously got back into riding again. Im after the best bike hoping full suspension for around the £1k mark. On my short list are the Specialized fsr comp? the KHS range ive started looking into and am quite impressed with their reviews, Then theyrs halfords Voodoo range eg the Canzo or the careera banshee x! im looking to test ride these as well but if you want to throw your opinions or verdicts on any of these bikes or others that are worth considering. I mainly do cross country/ single track but would really like to hit some trail centres soon!

The Canzo and Banshee are pretty hefty, long travel machines - you don't need this type of bike for most trail centres. But does depend how hard you want to ride.

The Boardman is worth a look too.
  • yes they did look a bit hefty. Ive not ruled out a good solid hard tail again like the Rockhopper but would like a bit of comfort in my old age lol The boardman just doesnt seem to look good to me personal taste but i want to want to ride it. i have thought of blowing budget and going for the ragley pig although i enjoy searching out the deals, Im really looking forward to the newer equpment like disc brakes.... sad i know.....

Just to let you know if you care..lol... I treated myself ive got a Kona Dawg in lovely Candy Apple Red! Fox rear suspension and Marzochi front suspension, been riding it for a wk now and just setting it all up to my size and weight, Have swapped the SPDs for some DMR Flats, Loving it and looking forward to putting some miles on it as it seems alot more comfortable than my old hard tail. Oh and im loving the hayes disc brakes.
