Would tyres alone make a difference?

Hi All,
Been doing a lot of reading on weight saving and performace gains due to it etc etc... everyone agrees that it rotating weight will give you the most benifit and changing wheels is the single best way to get an improvement, so my question is...
Would i notice the difference just by changing the tyres on my bike?
Facts: Boardman Team Carbon on standard Ritchy Wheels running continenal Ultra Sport (wire beed) tyres. 310g each.
Change them to Schwalbe Ultremo R .1 @ 180g each... so combined weight saving of 260g but most importantly on the outer most of the wheels, will the bike feel more lively?
Thanks

Yes - you will notice a nice difference in moving from wire-bead to folding tyres.0

You'll probably notice that you'll get more punctures and they'll wear faster too - get the right tyres for the types of conditions/riding you're doing.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

You'll certainly notice changing from Ultrasport tyres, utter cr%p in my opinion. I got some Ultremo R1s and I quite like them(only done 500 miles on them so far)Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Tyres are the most cost-effective upgrade you can make, mostly because of improvements in grip and rolling resistance. Decide if you want them for raceday, all-weather training or what.0

On my Giant I changed from Kenda to Conti 4000s. The difference in ride quality and performance was significant. A similar experience on my CAAD9 when I chnaged from Vittoria to Conti 4000s. Not sure if down to weight or what, but in terms of '£s for points' tyres are the best upgrade you can make.Specialized Venge S Works
