For the third time the speed/cadence sensor has snapped of my bike. It always seems to move, get caught by my peddle and of it flys, snapping at a ridiculously weak point on the mount. Cat eye dont supply these as a spare but always seem to have one 'lying around' in the office which they send to me for £3 postage. This in fairness is quite good of them, but i cant believe the thing is so badly designed. It can't be just me can it? I'm tempted to flog it on ebay and buy another make. Do any of the other makes have a cadence sensor that has to sit so close to the pedal it is very likely to catch it at some point and is so rigid and fragile that the slightest knock will tear the whole thing off? Or are they better, or is it just me after all?

Never had a problem with mine during the 2 years I've had it, and I use use it on 2 different road bikes (with a 2nd sensor an mounting kit). I have found that the sensor doesn't actually need to be that close to the cadence magnet... :?

I've had mine for over a year and had no problems. I wrapped a bit of inner tube around the chainstay and before mounting the sensor which I think keeps it more secure.
