I'm off to Afan for the 5th and final round of the 661 Gravity Enduro at Afan. The finish area is the 4X track so it should be pretty sick. If I get a win or a good result at least then I might win the series overall, too!

Hope you jizz buckets have good weekends too

im about to go to the pub.

this means the rest of the weekend will be a case of sitting in and feeling sorry for myself.
  • Tomorrow a 50km cycle ride to a friends house, play paintball for his birthday (why he would want to get shot up by me is still unkown), then a 50km cycle ride back. Should be Epic.

Today was my wifes graduation day from Nursing School, so Sunday we are all going out with the family to have a nice meal, get lots of money, drink lots of beer and then probably cycle a bit. Not sure about the last part though.

Spending a weekend with the lovely missk as we have been doing shizzle everyweek and we wanted some bonding time.

Tonight drinks and food, tomorrow cinema and screen hopping, Sunday unsure.

Good luck at afan fella, if you win the series you have to collect your prize holding a lime tied to a string. See if anyone gets it and most importantly get photo evidence

Would've come to watch (you'll never catch me racing again after the NW Champs) but off on hols.

Good luck fella - watch out for that slippery track in the rain - get some Swampthings or Wetscreams on your wheels straight away!!

  • Hopefully, a guy I know who'll be racing and gets sponsored by Schwalbe, so free tyres galore should be lending me some beefy mud tyres for Afan that I can borrow. I'll be needing them, apparently it's been raining at Afan for 3 days solid... :o
  • This weekend. Well, let's see...
Tomorrow, Cannock, FtD and 12M blue route just to get some extra mileage under the belt

Sunday, it's a difficult one, either Cannock and the Monkey Trail or, watch the Italian GP and do FtD.. decisions, decisions!

    Jay12

Good luck for tomorrow night little man! Go forth and conquer Polska!

Going down to Bedgebury tomorrow, to make up for not being able to do a night ride there tonight as my frikkin' lights still haven't turned up  Sunday looks like its going to be wet so will try to wangle some F1 and general dossing time.

Cannock tomorow is on the cards but if it's peeing down I'll find something else to do! Wanna head over early and pick up some pedals and flats then test 'em out.

Look out for a battered, blue 110 Land Rover with a sheep in the back window!

Just done the monkey at cannock today. Was a bit wet, but still decent. Might go again tomorrow depending on the weather, and also whether my rear hub holds out-its sounding increasingly dodgy and I havent got the money for a new wheel yet.

good luck to getonyourbike! i hope it goes well, let us know how you do
  • I thought a week of not doing much exercise would help my knee recover, how wrong was I? I played football this afternoon and couldn't run for more that 30 yards. I'm properly broken :x

This mean no marathon training for a 3rd week running and no cycling again. Not good!

Therefore it will be watching the rugby in my work bar at 9am tomorrow followed by an afternoon kippy kippy. :D

    you too, mate :D
  • Working this weekend. Currently abusing works computer as we are overstaffed which makes a change :D

Got to sort out bits out for Holiday tomorrow and get money changed into Euros and then pack. Off to Rhodes on Wednesday.
  • Up in the morning to watch the Rugby.
When that finishes, the cycling for the Commonwealth Youth Games is coming right past our house, so I may go watch that for 5min.
Hopefully, I can find some new bushings for the Edison too, then maybe I can go for a ride on Sun. Shocked (no pun intended) at how fast play has developed, it's pretty much just happened overnight.

Riding, drinking and planning a biking holiday for next weekend.

Oh and hoping my forks come back from Mojo all nicely tuned up with the FIT installation before I plan to go away.
  • I am off to a mates wedding tomorrow and will probably spend Sunday in bed with a hangover, although I should be out on my bike getting some last minute training miles in for the Isle of Man End2End next weekend.....
  • Dan Dare - Weather update!
It's grim out. Like, REALLY grim. Been torrential downpours all week. Top of Ballacobb is just a giant bog, Arrasey is a slip'n'slide, and the decking down the sloc is nothing short of a death trap.

I'm out tomorrow for my final training ride. Giving the legs a rest all next week.

Have fun, give me a wave if you see me. I can pretty much guarantee I'll be the only one on an Edison.
  • In no particular order

Walking, cycling, sailing, horse riding, visiting Colchester castle, swimming, watching tv, sleeping, eating, cooking, shopping.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Haha sounds like fun! I can imagine it will be even more of a mess by the time I get up there, I'm treating it as a challenge more than a race. In fact I'll be happy just to finish!

I'll be on the Zesty, and my mate is on a Santa Cruz Chameleon.

  • Yeh, top times will of course go to the XC whippets on their 19lb missiles. But us boys on the 6" bouncers will have more fun :D
You'll be able to finish easy enough, just make sure the bike is in good fettle before the start, and you carry plenty of spares.
