Shoe dryers from Clas Ohlsen

Now that September is here and winter is upon us, bypassing any semblance of autumn, how are people loving their soggy shoes?
Oh you're not? Me neither.
Has anyone tried either of these shoe dryers from Clas Ohlsen?
Double: http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Product/Product.aspx?id=163239063
Single: http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Product/Product.aspx?id=164643282
Do they work?
Does the double really dry wet shoes in an hour?
Does the single get the job done in 3 hours?
Do they last?
Are they mega noisy?
Any other thoughts...
Cheers in advance

Never tried the model you've spotted but i do use one by a company called Thermic. It was about £30 and it's fantastic. Dries quickly, quietly and ensures my boots are completely odour free. Really recommend it.S-Works Enduro

They should work, but a hair dryer is much quicker!0

Cheers rrice, like one of these? http://www.thermic.com/en/sports/products/classic.html#/sport/en/products/hygiene.html
Not too sure about putting an unattended hairdryer into shoes, the action end is a little close to the electrical end. Potential fire/shoe wreckage just isn't worth the time saving for me.0 -
I was given the double one last year as a present. Basically it's a small fan heater with a set of tubes mounted on the front. There's not much to go wrong.
-It usually takes a few hours to dry shoes.
-You can use it for 1 hour intervals on timer or set it to continuous.
-It's a fan heater. You can hear it, but I wouldn't call it noisy.
-Smell is the main drawback. If your shoes smell, so does the whole room.
It is nice to have, but I'm not sure if I would have bought one.0 -

I think I'm give the double a try then and set it up in the cellar. Having said that this Therm-ic one on Amazon claims to use UV to kill off bacteria and smells. It's only a 50W heating element (albeit ceramic) though, which sounds pretty lame.
