Xtr m965 piston reset problem

Ive been trying to reset my xtr m965 pistons back but they just dont seem to go back all the way in. If i press on the lever they do work but i just cant get them to go all the way back in the caliper. Any help would be great as im fairly new to disc brakes

the pistons do take some force to get them back , you need a big screwdriver. have you fitted new pads and can not get the flush with the body.0

be careful if using a screwdriver as you can gauge the piston, wrap it in a cloth. I prefer to use a plastic tyre lever.
Also if you are pushing very hard and cannot get them to reset then check the reservoir is not over filled.0 -
Ive removed the caliper from the lever and drained the oil but still very hard to push back the pistons0
